  • When a wick is too long, it can’t pull up the melted wax well enough to burn cleanly. What happens then? It makes black smoke (soot). When the wick is trimmed, it burns cleanly. No smoke to make your air dirty, and no black marks on your beautiful Slayvibe jar!
• To Prevent Tunneling (Wax Not Melting on the Sides):
  • Have you ever seen your candle burn down only in the middle, leaving a ring of hard wax on the sides? That’s called ‘tunneling.’ Sometimes, a long wick can cause this because the flame isn’t strong enough to melt all the wax across the top. By keeping your wick trimmed, you help the wax melt evenly across the whole top. This means no wasted wax, and you get to use all of your Slayvibe candles.
